I am addicted to my Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick for Body! This gorgeous silky powder reflects the light to camouflage imperfections and gives skin a sexy luminous glow. With 3 luxurious bars of color to choose from, you can sweep them on seperately or swirl your brush over the entire compact to ad a wash of subtle highlights wherever you choose... So much better than bare skin, and perfect for summer!!!

Behind the scenes at my shoot for Mirrin Magazine
Yesterday I had the privilege of collaborating with photographer Melissa Rodwell, www.melissarodwell.com on an amazing story for London's Mirrin Magazine Summer 2010 issue www.mirrinmagazine.com. Our stylist Angela pulled tons of fabulous clothes and jewelry. Our models Ana, and Eugenia at Photogenics, and Daniel and Amadeus at Ford were fantastic, and totally got into the vibe of the shoot, and hairstylist Damian Monzillo www.kateryaninc.com rocked out some wicked hair!
The look and feel of the shoot was very Victorian, and I wanted to bring out that otherwordly antique feel with the makeup. On Ana and Eugenia I used OCC Makeup pigments in Copperwire, and Brasstacks all over their lids and under eyes. I then lined both the girls and boys eyes on top and bottom with Le Crayon Kohl eyepencil from Lancome in "Black Ebony", and smudged the lines with a brush to make the whole thing very diffused and undone looking; but still sexy and smokey.
The location was gorgeous and we shot just down the beach from Diane Von Furstenbergs house in Malibu, Ca. The weather was sunny and beautiful, and the pictures were magical...Can't wait to see the final images!!!

Mark Glow Baby Glow Lip Gloss
I am really loving this gloss from Mark. It's 2 glosses in one, a soft champagne beige, and a fresh pretty peach. The colors are so perfect for spring, and the texture gives a really gorgeous wash of color that stays. They smell really good too! I have to say, I've been using this one lately on all my models and they are a new kit staple for me. LOVE!!
Red Balloons!
Ah balloons...Carefree, and lighthearted, they bring out the child in all of us. In this story that I shot with New York Photographer Tiff Pemberton www.tiffpemberton.com; he captures that youthful playfulness. Fun!!!
Todays thoughts...change isn't always better!
I'm all for keeping things fresh, and modern, but a couple of weeks ago, I got the not so bright idea that going from a life long brunette to a platinum blonde would be an absolutely genius idea...WRONG! Talk about a BIG MISTAKE.... I loved the color; just not on me! When will I ever learn??? (Big Sigh); anyway, I tried it for a week and a half and I felt (and looked, trust me) like a desperate housewife from Pasadena...Let's just say that was Definitely NOT the result I was aiming for when I imagined having fabulously glamorous blonde hair! Sooo, coming to the realization that I was not born to be a blonde (so sad :-(); I spent 5 hours at the hair salon today dying it back to it's natural chocolate brown shade. I am now feeling like myself again, although much chagrined, exhausted, and really wondering what on earth was I thinking? (I obviously wasn't), and WHY I put my poor hair through such torture. I have learned that I really need to stop (cue music) and "wait a minute", before listening to that overly gleeful (and annoying) inner voice telling me to "try something new"! Sometimes doing less (at least in my case) really is more. Something to think about... :-)
Spring has sprung!
Ever since mama humming bird built a nest in my windchime, I've been
waiting for her babies to hatch. Here they are, only 5 days old...So
cute!!!

Random Rambling of the day...So If I start my own makeup line...
Hello Beauties!
So....I've been thinking more and more lately about doing my own line of makeup. Of course there are countless ones out there, but I say, can you ever really have too much makeup? Of course not!!! :-)I've been thinking about what I would want in a line for several years and I want to make sure that when I finally do it, that it's something I can be proud of. I want to start with a small selective group of products with high quality ingredients and grow from there... And I want to make sure that my products are user friendly and eco conscious! I would love to hear from all of you about what YOU would like to see in a new line. What are your fave products (the ones you just can't live without)? What colors do you love? What textures? Do you prefer with or without fragrance? Are there any special ingredients that you would like? Your feedback is so important, and will really help me to launch a successful line. Looking forward to hearing from everyone!!!

LA Style Magazine Spring 2010
Some images from my spring fashion story for LA Style Shot by Raquel Olivo http://raquelolivo.com. The model had beautiful skin, and I wanted to let that shine through so I didn't use any foundation. I prepped her skin with Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15, and used Bobbi Brown Professional Concealer in Warm Beige to smooth out dark circles and any blemishes. To give her eyes a modern smokey effect, I used Urban Decay's Lust; a deep purple pencil all around her eyes and smudged it slightly to soften the line, I then finished with 2 coats of Maybelline Colossol Volume Mascare in Glam Black. I smoothed Chantacaille Beauty's cream blush in Charming on her cheeks and kept the lips soft and pretty with Mark Pro Lip Gloss in Hook Up Plumping lip shine, a beautiful peachy gloss. Simple and very wearable!
